TOLEDO, Ohio — Shrader Tire & Oil (STO) announced today that Bob Feldbauer has been named President of the company, effective August 1, 2026. Feldbauer will serve as both President and Chief Operating Officer, while Joe Shrader continues as Chief Executive Officer.
Feldbauer joined Shrader Tire & Oil in January 2025 as Chief Operating Officer, bringing over 29 years of tire industry experience. He previously spent 13.5 years as President and CEO of Jack’s Tire & Oil, Inc. in Logan, Utah, and 14 years in various sales, training, and leadership roles at Michelin North America.
In his expanded role, Feldbauer will continue overseeing day-to-day operations across STO’s 14 fleet locations while also leading external strategy, including market positioning, strategic partnerships, and revenue growth initiatives. Shrader will remain focused on the company’s long-term vision and strategic direction.
“Bob has proven exactly what we hoped he would when we brought him on board — sharp operational instincts and a real drive to help this company grow,” said Joe Shrader, CEO of Shrader Tire & Oil. “Putting him in the President seat lets us move faster on the growth plans we’ve been building toward.”
“It has been a fast year and a half at Shrader Tire & Oil,” said Feldbauer. “I have gained tremendous insight and valuable knowledge about our organization’s structure, company culture, and an understanding of our overall goals and commitments. One thing is clearly obvious — the commitment Shrader employees have to deliver the best customer experience each and every time. I appreciate this and look forward to supporting them as their President and COO.” Bob Feldbauer, President, COO
Shrader Tire & Oil is led by the third generation, with the fourth generation already serving in key roles. Feldbauer’s promotion reflects the strength of that family culture, guided by the same Mission, Vision, and Core Values that have shaped the company since its founding in 1948.

For more than 75 years, Shrader Tire & Oil has been a trusted Michelin retread plant location serving commercial fleets across Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. This month, that commitment earned a formal recognition — Michelin honored Shrader Tire & Oil for 20 years as a Michelin Retread Technologies Partner.
It’s not an award handed out broadly. It reflects two decades of sustained performance, quality standards, and a working relationship that both companies have invested in.
Being a certified Michelin retread plant location means one thing for your fleet: access to retreads built to Michelin’s standards — not a generic alternative.
Shrader Tire & Oil operates two Michelin retread plant locations — Pemberville, Ohio and Melvindale, Michigan — serving commercial fleets across Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and beyond. That translates directly to lower per-mile tire costs without sacrificing safety or tread life. Fourteen locations. Mobile service. A team that’s been at this since 1948. One call, it’s done.
“My father started this company with a handshake and a promise to take care of people. I’d like to think this award is proof we’ve kept that promise.”
Not all retreads are created equal — and that’s the point.
Michelin Retread Technologies uses a standardized 9-step process across every franchise plant, including both of ours. Every tire goes through initial inspection, computer-automated buffing, casing integrity analysis, X-ray, repair, tread building, double-enveloping, curing, and a final inspection before it leaves the plant. No shortcuts. No guesswork.
The result: Michelin retreads last 90% as long as a new tire at 50% the cost.* For a fleet running dozens of tires, that math adds up fast.
Fuel economy holds up too. Michelin retreads are engineered to deliver similar fuel efficiency to new tires — a factor that matters when diesel costs are eating into your margins.
There’s also an environmental case. Retreading a single casing reduces resources required by 66%, with significant reductions in oil, water, energy, and emissions compared to manufacturing a new tire. If your fleet has sustainability reporting requirements, a retread program is a straightforward win.
*Based on field data compiled by Michelin representatives and internal testing.
If your fleet isn’t already running a retread program — or if you’re not sure your current program is optimized — let’s take a look. A conversation with one of our fleet specialists costs nothing and could cut your tire spend significantly.
When Chevron names you a Chevron Gold Distributor once, you hit the mark. When they name you one two years in a row, it tells your customers something more important: it’s not a fluke. It’s how you operate.
Shrader Tire & Oil is proud to announce we’ve earned the Chevron Gold Distributor Award for the second consecutive year — one of the highest recognitions Chevron extends to lubricant distributors across the country. For fleets in the Toledo, Ohio area and across the Midwest, this matters.
Chevron doesn’t hand out Gold status lightly. To earn it, a Chevron lubricants distributor must meet rigorous benchmarks across three areas:
Earning it back-to-back means our team isn’t just hitting a number once — we’re building the kind of operation that consistently delivers at a certified level.
“Three generations of the Shrader family have built this company on one principle: when your fleet needs something, we show up.”
-Joe Shrader, CEO, Owner, 3rd Generation
If you manage a commercial fleet in Ohio, Michigan, or Indiana, you already know that lubricant quality isn’t a line item to cut corners on. The wrong oil in the wrong engine at the wrong interval costs you far more than the savings you thought you were getting.
Sourcing Chevron lubricants through a Gold-certified distributor like Shrader Tire & Oil means:

STO teammates laced up for the 2026 Glass City Marathon — and they delivered.

The STO relay team — Nick Wingate, Donna Wingate, Joe Shrader, Ashley Greely & Bob Feldbauer — finished 4th in the Corporate Mixed Relay division.
On April 27, 2026, the streets of Toledo filled with thousands of runners for the Glass City Marathon. Mixed in with the crowd were seven people from Shrader Tire & Oil — from the corner office to the shop floor — who showed up, put in the miles, and reminded us that the same grit that drives this company shows up well outside of work hours too.
Five members of the STO family joined forces to tackle the relay: Joe Shrader (CEO), Bob Feldbauer (CFO), Ashley Greely (Safety Training Manager), and Nick and Donna Wingate from our Perrysburg location.
The team finished 4th out of all mixed male/female teams in the corporate relay division. It’s not every day you see a CEO and CFO running alongside a safety manager and a husband-and-wife team from the shop. But that’s kind of the point — at STO, the org chart doesn’t define who we are. This team shared miles, cheered each other on, and crossed the finish line together.

Neil Chryst, Sales, crossing the finish line — marathon #24.
And then there’s Neil Chryst, Sales, who ran the full 26.2 miles — for the 24th time.
Twenty-four marathons. Let that sink in. While most of us are still negotiating with ourselves to take the stairs, Neil has been quietly stacking full marathons for years. No fanfare, no fuss — just showing up, putting in the work, and finishing strong. If you’ve ever been on a sales call with Neil, this probably doesn’t surprise you.
We’re a tire and oil company. We spend our days thinking about uptime, reliability, and keeping fleets moving. Those things don’t happen by accident — they take consistency, preparation, and people who don’t quit when it gets hard.
That’s the same mentality we saw on the course Sunday. And it’s the same one our team brings to work every day. Whether it’s 3 a.m. roadside service, a retread program that saves a fleet real money, or a 24th marathon, the common thread is people who are built to go the distance.

Celebrating at the finish — medals well earned.
Proud of every one of them. See you at mile 25 next year. 💙

For 78 years, Shrader Tire & Oil has been more than a tire and oil service provider — we’ve been a neighbor. From our Ohio locations in Columbus, Lima, Heath, Perrysburg, and Toledo, to our Michigan and Indiana stores, we’ve built our business one community at a time.
This April, we’re marking our 78th anniversary the way it feels right: by giving back.
From April 1st through April 19th, every Shrader Tire & Oil location across Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana will be collecting essential personal hygiene items for local shelters and nonprofits. Every donation stays in the community where it was dropped off — no exceptions.
Why Hygiene? Why Now?
Personal care items like toothpaste, shampoo, and diapers are among the most needed yet least donated items at local shelters. They aren’t covered by food assistance programs, and for families in crisis they’re often the first thing to go. As a company that serves the hardworking people of Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana every day, we wanted our anniversary celebration to reflect what we actually believe: that business and community go hand in hand.
